Dad and I decided to take this short three-day road trip out to North Texas to do some railfanning. Our main places that we planned to go were Hearne, Saginaw near Fort Worth, and Marshall, but we ended up going to many more places and saw some AWESOME finds! Highlights include many great lashups, some rain videos, a sighting of AMTK 189, and best of all: a windmill blade train with an SD60M leader!!!!!!!!!! Day 1 was taken on 12/28/2014.
0:00 - While driving up the BNSF Conroe sub, this BNSF freight with a Dash-9 in H3 paint and a UP C40-8 catches us off guard. I saw the H3 Dash-9 back in Rosenberg half a year ago.

5:54 - Around Lovelace / Hillsboro, we passed this blue caboose sitting by the highway.
5:58 - Cool! While driving by Tower 55, I saw this Amtrak sitting in the city. But when I took a closer look, I realized that the diesel was the Big Game Train unit! I was taking a video at the time and was able to focus on the diesel for a brief moment, so this is the best still that I got of it.

13:22 - EPIC! A BNSF local with an awesome lashup slowly moves through the crossings along with some fire trucks off-camera... only to be met up by a faster autorack train with a CN / BCOL C40-8M!

20:23 - Around Forney, a UP rock train sits in a siding in the dark.
20:44 - Last train of the day: in Terrell, a stack train with a nice NS lashup heads through EB. There was a UP SD70ACe leading and 4 NS units trailing, mainly ES44DC's. I had to film this with my phone since we had just finished eating supper.
